Septic tanks and nuances of their installation

Septic tanks, and in another word, containers immersed in the ground are designed to purify wastewater. What is the principle of their work? Packs from the house enter containers, where they break down with bacteria. And at the same time, heavy impurities settled on the bottom of the container, and the lighter (fats, for example) form a foamy layer, popping up to the surface. The next stage of filtering is cleaning with microorganisms located in the soil, the result of which is the decomposition of drains. And the final stage – seeping wastewater into groundwater.

There are three main options for septic tanks: metal, plastic and concrete rings. The latter species is good because its use completely excludes the possibility of rust. In addition, it is not subject to pushing with soil waters from the ground. A metal septic tank is more suitable than the previous type, because it is much stronger, moreover, easier. Here are only installation and installation require the mandatory presence of a concrete slab that would prevent pushing with soil waters. And finally, the third version of cleaning structures is from plastic. It should be considered in more detail.

Due to the mass of advantages, it is the plastic cleaners that are in great demand among customers. In addition to the fact that polypropylene is an excellent keeper of heat and tightness, hard plastic installations have all the necessary requirements of weight and shape. This allows you to freely equip this type of wastewater purification in your country house or in your own cottage. There are several subspecies of cleaning structures. And septic tank for giving without pumping will cost somewhat cheaper. But its installation implies not too frequent use, that is, for giving this is a great option, but not for a huge cottage with year -round living.

Further, we will talk about the nuances of the installation of plastic septics. The installation underground implies a distance of 50 cm. from the upper part of the structure, this will allow the septic tank to function correctly and reliably. Regarding a high level of groundwater, a reinforced concrete slab will be a kind of anchor for plastic cleaners, to which the system is attached with special anchor belts. Before mounting the installation, you should optimally prepare the site for it. Ideally, if it is a compacted layer of sand, at least thirty centimeters in depth. During the installation itself around the perimeter of the system, it is worth filling the sand at least at a distance of 50 cm. And after installing the object, another layer of sand is required (30-50 cm.) above. At the end, it is worth noting: before putting the septic tank into operation, it must be filled with water.
