Advantages and disadvantages of decorative plaster in the kitchen

Decorating kitchen walls with decorative plaster is an option that designers choose quite often. It creates a uniform coating that can withstand less than comfortable temperature conditions and looks stylish.

Advantages:

  • versatility of application: plaster can be used on almost any wall – wooden, concrete, brick, plasterboard;
  • easy to maintain: walls can be vacuumed and washed with a sponge;
  • protection against fungus and mold: mineral impurities are responsible for this;
  • wear resistance: the coating will last for decades;
  • no need for perfect alignment of the walls;
  • ease of repair: if part of the coating becomes unusable, you do not need to completely redo the repair, it is enough to replace the deformed part.

Disadvantages: high cost of the material.
