When carrying out the sound insulation procedure of offices (as well as with them – and other premises), the main emphasis is most often placed in several zones: • walls (referring to external ones),
• ceilings and floor,
• Internal partitions.
Each of these designs has its own small features.
Sound insulation of external walls
The most related to thermal insulation. The reasons for this are understandable: most of modern thermal insulation materials can immediately improve acoustic properties. Insulation of external walls most often requires the use of plates in which there is a filling of porous or fibrous materials. For example, in multi -layer structures, very successfully high -quality isolation is used on a cotton wool.
In old buildings, you can find the use of a very popular facade system of “wet type”. This system is a relic of the past, but it works effectively.
This is a two -layer acoustic structure. The shells of the structure under the influence of sounds begin to fluctuate independently of each other. They do not transmit vibrations, since they are connected only by isomaterials with low stiffness.
Internal walls and partitions
In offices, the acoustics of the premises often leave much to be desired. And this strongly interferes with work, the production indicators are reduced, employees suffer from headaches and stress … To prevent this, sound insulation is needed.
For internal walls, as well as for partitions, they very often try to use the principles of multi -layer. True, at the same time they try to use materials that have an easier weight.
For internal walls, in addition, the defining factors become:
• Environmental friendliness,
• high degree of fire safety.
Today this problem has found its resolution through the use of non -combustible fibrous materials. The inner light partition for the most part is a kind of sandwich.
If there is a necessity, you can significantly increase the number of layers of the insulator, as well as the amount of drywall. As for the space between the layers of the sound insulator, in this case it will be possible to make a small air gap. A similar measure will be good to extinguish sound vibrations.
Sound insulation of ceilings
This function is performed by an acoustic suspension ceiling. They are made from stone cotton wool. At the same time, many other materials can be used:
• Fiberglass,
• gypsum,
• wooden -fiber materials,
• Metal.
